The Wildflower Café &
Bakery was established in 1987. We have been providing
our community with wholesome homemade vegetarian cuisine
by using the finest ingredients with as much fresh and
organic produce as is seasonally available. Our creative
chefs apply their talents to make daily specials and
utilize seasonal produce. Using the unique recipes
created by our staff, all of our sauces, dressings, and
chai are made from scratch. We take special pride in
providing you with our homemade seitan, otherwise known
as “wheat meat,” which is a tasty meat substitute
containing a great deal of protein. We also feature
local and organic wines and beers.
The Wildflower strives to support our local economy by
purchasing produce from local organic farmers whenever
possible. We feature many items from local businesses
such as the Tofu Shop, Bon Boniere Ice Cream, Sacred
Grounds Coffee Roasters, and Loleta Cheese Company just
to name a few. Most of our cheese is rennet free and
made with a vegetable enzyme.
Since we are a vegetarian establishment we compost all
food waste and recycle through a local business
who transports it to the nearby Recycling Center and our
North Coast Quality Compost Center. By doing these few
things we are able to give back to the community,
support our environment, and maintain an eco-friendly
business.

The
Wildflower also hosts a specialty bakery. Within these
walls we have the opportunity to offer wonderful baked
goods using mostly organic ingredients. Our fresh baked
biscuits and rolls compliment many items on our menu. We
are known for our Sunshine Raisin Date Bars, Thumbprint
Cookies, and our delicious vegan/wheat-free pastries. In
addition to our wholesome treats, we love to offer our
customers such indulgences as our Raspberry Cream Cheese
Brownies.

In striving to offer you only the best we also do not
use deep fryers, microwaves, or hydrogenated oils. We
cook with organic soy oil and serve many simple but
healthy dishes such as steamed vegetables and rice. Our
goal is to make your dining experience at the Wildflower
Café & Bakery as enjoyable and pleasant as possible.
